Jeet Kune Do Seminar
Benefiting the Kenya Missions Trip
Date: Saturday, September 20th, 9am-1pm
ADULT SELF-DEFENSE SEMINAR IN BRUCE LEE’S JEET KUNE DO
I’ve been asked for the last decade to share my first art, my first certification, Bruce Lee’s Art of Jeet Kune Do (JKD). Therefore, I’ll be using this action paced, extremely functional 4-hour seminar to help beginners fight better, and advanced students to hone in their skills and expand their arsenal.
100% of the funds raised will be going to Stephanie and my mission trip to Kenya where we’ll be teaching missionaries and locals self-defense. You heard that right! I’ll be going to Kenya to teach missionaries and locals a special training program I’ve created for them, as they cited that as a need. All of the proceeds for this seminar will be going to this project and trip, so I hope you see this as a win-win, where you can help yourself, while also helping us help those who are assisting others!
Join me for an incredible experience!
Here are some of the topics we’ll be covering:
- Learn the 5 main concepts of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, and how to apply them to multiple self-defense situations
- “Absorb What is Useful” – I’ll emphasize the philosophy of taking what works from any martial art and discarding what doesn’t; JKD is not a fixed style but a personal expression of combat.
- Discover a sparring drill you don’t need experience in, which will help you reprioritize your combat mindset
- Simplicity and Directness – Teach that the most effective techniques are simple, direct, and efficient; eliminate unnecessary movement and flourish.
- I’ll be teaching the same program my instructor personally taught me, which he taught to the Navy SEALs called the Rapid Assault Tactics (R.A.T.) program
- Interception as the Core Strategy – We’ll focus on the concept of “Jeet” (to intercept), using timing and distance to attack the opponent as they initiate their move.
- Know and train the difference between street ground fighting and regular “BJJ”
- Economy of Motion – I’ll highlight the importance of minimizing wasted energy and maximizing speed and power through proper structure, alignment, and intent.
- Find out the secrets to combative wing chun trapping, how Bruce Lee used them in his fighting system (very advanced information)
- Freedom Over Tradition – Break free from rigid styles and dogma, even sports focused arts, promoting adaptability, creativity, and personal evolution in martial arts.
- 70+% of fights contain some type of weapon, so we’ll be learning “knife tapping” to increase your weapons defensive skills in one day!
- Much, much more!
